Body and Soul
In their upcoming exhibition at Gage Gallery, artists Arlene Nesbitt and Cameron Kuntz speak to the dialogue between Body and Soul and take us on a philosophical journey that is symbolic, yet personal and unique–exploring and responding to ideas and relationships between the material world and the spiritual one. From the esoteric to the physical, from the ethereal to the bawdy, their work, featuring drawings and paintings, photography and poetry, pull us into that mysterious world of discovery and possibility.
DIDI Art Show: Empowerment
I’m honoured to have been invited to participate in this upcoming fundraising event to be held at the Belfry Theatre opening March 4th. It’s quite exciting to share space with such an esteemed group of artists. Should prove to be quite the exhibit/sale..

In Celebration of Trees: PhotoPlace Gallery
Happy to see that I’ve had another image selected by PhotoPlace Gallery for the upcoming exhibit: In Celebration of Trees juried by Tom Zetterstrom for exhibit with other selected works in the print gallery. This is a piece I did a few years back while on Galiano Island—it has always given me a feeling of other worldly space.
The show runs from January 20, 2016 through February 19, 2016.

AN EXHIBITION AT GAGE GALLERY
Anna Curtin’s landscape paintings explore moments of essence in a technology driven world. Laser burns from GPS traces of walks combined with chance use of materials suggest a new pictorial space reflecting a post-conceptual experience of place.
Samantha Dickie’s sculptures explore the restless space between stillness and movement. Space and form coexist as a matrix in each sculpture which, when multiplied creates a visual narrative that is imbued with an energy of both interaction and silence.
Carole Thompson’s abstraction based paintings interconnect colour theory, geometric forms and ambiguous pictorial space. Within a multiple point perspective, and informed by nature, the cosmos and metaphysics the work explores contemporary dichotomies inside a dialogue of high key colour, contrasts of order/chaos, stillness/movement and connection/separation can simultaneously and exuberantly coexist.
