For original artwork on canvas or paper, I employ high resolution digital capture for pieces up to four by five feet, though larger captures may be possible. This provides full-resolution files suitable for printing up to original size. Finely tuned lighting and profiling ensures as colour accurate a copy as current technology allows. A colour proof on letter sized paper is provided with each capture.

Scanning & Retouching

Scanning and retouching services are available for both film and printed works such as photographs and small art works. In particular, a lot of older photographs show signs of deterioration due to various environmental and chemical reactions over time—scanning and retouching can help to restore their original beauty and luster. For B&W images, printing onto either gloss or matte papers utilizing the piezography system with a split tone of warm neutral and selenium is a thing of beauty—must be seen to be appreciated. The gloss prints seem to glow with an inner depth, while the matte prints present a lovely softness and texture…

For smaller pieces or photographs for retouching and/or restoration, I use a hi-res, flat-bed scanner. Again, critical calibration and profiling is the key to accurate reproduction of images. Film scanning, both transparency and negative is also available for formats up to 8″ x  10″. Digital files produced utilizing these systems are suitable for a large range of applications, including fine art prints, publication in books, graphic design applications and web work.

Bulk rates are available for larger quantities and collections.
